Прогнозування впливу зон підвищенної проникності водотриву на локалізацію підтоплених ділянок

Abstract

An approach for protection of flooded areas in the right bank side of Dnipropetrovsk is justified; it is based on artificial increase in permeability of the low-permeable bed under the upper aqui fer, which intensifies seepage of excessive water to the lower aquifer. The flow model for performance of the absorbing well system under natural and man-made infiltration recharge is developed using the software ModFlow 2009 (Schlumberger WS). The optimal placing of “permeable windows” is determined that takes into account relief features and building locations within the studied area; this provides the maximum sinking of groundwater head. The distribution of groundwater head and its balance components after transition of the flooded areas in the self-drainage mode are evaluated.
