Abstract

The main geometrical sizes of the three variants of proposed sedimentation tank for water treatment from suspended solids in conditions of water drainage of the existing coal mine are selected. A brief analysis of the effectiveness of their work is executed. By different criteria substantiated the geometric parameters of sedimentation tank mine water treatment, which can be used in its design. The main criterion of effective operation of sedimentation tank is the degree of water treatment. In the end, substantiated: the most rational initial width of the sedimentation tank, the angle of inclination of its bottom and angles its narrowing in the plan, on the basis which are determined of other geometric sizes of the settling tanks, consistent with its performance.
