На матеріалі мемуарно-біографічного нарису В. Я. Брюсова «Обломок старых поколений»
(1912) розглядається ставлення відомого поета і літературознавця до постаті історика-
археографа, видавця журналу «Русский архив» і відображення його образу в згаданій праці,
яка поклала початок вивченню творчого спадщини і діяльності П. І. Бартєнєва.
