Abstract
The topical issues for development of the normative and legal regulation of the responsibility of deputies of the local councils under conditions of modern changes in the system of the local self-government in Ukraine are defined. It is noted that the problem of establishing boundaries, forms and means of ensuring the responsibility of deputies of the local councils is inextricably linked with the need to specify their rights as well as todifferentiate their own and collegial duty.
